How to permanently delete your TeenCue account, and exactly what happens when you do.

How to delete your account

Open the TeenCue app, go to Account, and choose Delete account. You will be shown what is about to be removed and asked to confirm by typing DELETE. Nothing is deleted until you do.

Deletion is permanent. There is no undo, no grace period and no way for us to restore an account afterwards.

What is deleted

Everything TeenCue holds about you and your family is removed:

Your parent account and sign-in credentials.
Every teen you added, including their first name and age range.
Every connected computer and its setup codes.
All recorded AI activity: the categories, topics, severities and timestamps TeenCue collected.
Your Weekly Teen Brief preference and send history.
Your subscription record inside TeenCue.
Your referral attribution, if you signed up through a creator link.

TeenCue never stored the text of your teen’s conversations, so there is no transcript to delete. There never was one.

What happens to your plan

If you have an active TeenCue plan, it will be cancelled immediately and any remaining access will end when your account is deleted. Cancellation happens before anything is removed, so you will not be billed again.

Cancellation is immediate rather than at the end of the period you have paid for. Once the account is gone there is no way to manage a subscription attached to it, so a plan that kept running would be one you could not stop. The remainder of the period is not refunded. If you would rather use the time you have already paid for, cancel from Account first and delete later.

If we cannot cancel your plan, we do not delete your account. You will be asked to try again, and nothing will have been removed.

What is kept, and why

Two kinds of record survive, and neither identifies you afterwards.

Payment records held by Stripe. Stripe processes payments for TeenCue and keeps its own records of transactions for tax and accounting purposes. That is Stripe’s obligation as a payment processor, not ours to erase. TeenCue never sees or stores your card details.

Commission records, if you subscribed through a creator’s referral link. A commission is money owed to that creator, so the accounting record has to survive. The link to you is removed from it: after deletion the record shows the payment and the creator it belongs to, and no longer points at any account.

We also keep short-lived request counters used to limit abuse. They contain no name, email or address, only an irreversible hash, and they are deleted automatically within days.

If you cannot open the app

Email us from the address on the account and ask for it to be deleted. We will verify that the request comes from the account holder before doing anything, which may mean asking you a question only the account holder could answer. We do not delete an account on an unverified request.
